Traffic and Parking at Bridge School
Dropping off and Picking up Students
- If you need to park your car to walk your child to/from his/her classroom, use the designated parent parking spaces. Please park parallel to the curb. No double or triple parking.
- Only cars of staff members and buses are allowed in to the parking area at the side of the school. No parent parking in this area during drop off and pick up.
- Traffic flow is restricted to one-lane outlines by the cones in front of the school building. While picking up and dropping off students, please line up in single file within the cone boundary. You must stay to the right of the cones and keep moving. Please do not cross over the cone boundary in order to leave -- children are crossing at this time.
- On the entire front curb of the school building, there is no parking, no standing, no live parking, and no waiting. There is only fast drop off or fast pick up.
- When dropping off your child, move up past the front door to the second signpost (near the Grade 4 entrance). Your child will then be able to walk back to the front door. Please do not get out of your car! If your child needs assistance to get off your car, please park your car at a designated parking space to let your child off. The front curb is for fast pick up and drop off only.
- Picking up students from school is a drive-through method. Pull your car up past the front door to the second signpost (near Grade 4 entrance). If your child is not already standing at the curb, please do not stop or wait. Please drive around the circular driveway to come back. The front curb is for "drive-thru" pick up only.
- School vans need space at the left end of the school building near the playground. No parking is permitted in that area. Please do not drop off and pick up your child in that area!
- Please observe the Enter and Exit signs at the entrance to the school from Middleby Road.
- The grassed area is not a short cut for vehicles - please stay on the driveways.
- Please be considerate and mindful of everybody's safety.
