The 2007-2008 PTA Reflections Program Wrap-up

The 2007-2008 Reflections program has come to an end. The following six students submitted entries in two categories. The entries have been forwarded to the State Level.

Literature:

The 2007-2008 PTA Reflections Program Has Begun!!!

Bridge PTA is delighted to join the National PTA's annual Reflections Program this year! More than 600,000 students participate in the Reflections Program through their local PTAs each year. The program helps parents encourage the creativity and lifelong learning of their children. It provides opportunities for children's creative self-expression, and recognition for their artistic endeavors. Parents, teachers, and community members all play a critical role in fostering a positive learning environment for children. Supporting the Reflections Program is one way you can promote the arts in your home, school, and community.

This theme based arts recognition program can also enhance a school’s Arts program and give students a sense of achievement and pride. Participation in the Reflections Program is organized by school grade. Student works are critiqued against other works in the same grade division. Only new pieces of artwork inspired by the theme are acceptable.

The theme for the 2007-2008 program is:
“I can make a difference by…”

Grade divisions:

Students may enter the Reflections Program in the appropriate division for their grade.

The divisions are as follows:

Primary: K - Grade 2
Intermediate: Grades 3-5

Arts categories:

Students may submit work in any or all of these six categories:

Specific rules for each category:

Rules for Visual Arts
Rules for Literature
Rules for Musical Composition
Rules for Dance Choreography
Rules for Film/Video Production

Each student is allowed to submit one entry per category. The deadline for all submissions to the Bridge School PTA is Dec 21, 2007.
